How Do I Connect to the iKit2000 Board from Windows 95/98?
To establish a connection to the iKit2000 Development
Board in Windows 95/98, do the following:
Connect
the iKit2000 Development Board to your client computer using a null modem
serial cable. Power on the iKit board. Double-click My Computer.

Double-click
Dial-Up Networking.
If
Dial-Up Networking is not present, then it must be installed.

Double-click
iKit2000.
If
there is no iKit2000 connection present, then one must be created.

Leave
the user name and password fields blank. Click Connect. A Connecting
to iKit2000 dialog box will appear, and your computer should successfully
log in to the iKit board. Minimize the Connection Established window
that appears. Close the Enter Network Password dialog box, if it
appears. The iKit LCD display shows the board's IP address and a “Waiting for
rqst” status message.

Open
Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator. Enter http://132.147.160.70
in the Address or Location field. This causes the iKit board to
serve up its embedded web page. When the browser sends a request to the iKit
board, the iKit LCD will display a “Serving data…….” status message.
To
close the connection, click Disconnect on the Connected to iKit2000
dialog box.
